Is it ok if I use Christopher Rowe’s translation (penguin)? I have a hardcopy+the audible version, this to increase understanding as a Dutch guy reading Plato in English.
Thank you very much Jur! It should be accessible especially if you are reading along with the text. I have not read the Rowe translation myself so can't say for certain, I generally recommend Alan Bloom or the G.M.A Grube edition, but I'm sure for a first go the Rowe one would be fine.
This was absolutely outstanding and helped frame why Plato speaks to our current moment. I will share this with people when they are considering why the should read The Republic.
